Family Devotions

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. (Deuteronomy 6:4-7)
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4)
It is clear from both the Old and New Testaments that God expects parents to be active in discipling their children by teaching them God's word. With that in mind, we have set up this page to provide useful free family devotions to help parents faithfully fulfil this task.

Each devotion consists of two pages for you to download and print off.

First page contains:
  • Bible Passage
  • Picture illustrating the main point of the passage

Second page contains:
  • Questions and comments to guide the family in understanding and applying the passage.

Tips for use:
  • Once you have finished the devotion, stick the first page on the toilet door. This provides opportunity to remember and meditate on the devotion.

We will try to add a new devotional every week. Click on the links below to access the devotions. They are listed from the latest down:

Matthew 6:19-21 The Life Controlling Power of the Treasure of your Heart

Luke 12:32-34 Laying up Treasures in Heaven

James 4:1-10 The Heart of Anger
